University Music’s Orchestra and Choirs present An Autumn Elegy at 7.30pm on Saturday 29th October in Christchurch Priory. The programme includes Rutter’s Requiem, Chilcott’s Canticles of Light and, in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth, Vaughan Williams ever popular The Lark Ascending. Our violinist soloist will be Nivedita Sarnath who, having studied at the Royal Academy of Music, The Boston Conservatory and Harvard University, is now a member of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Our soprano soloist will be Verity Joy who is a current undergraduate student at Arts University Bournemouth.
