A Folk Song Walk
26 May @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Join Dorset folk singer Alastair Braidwood for a walk around fields and woods of the Blackmore Vale, accompanied by traditional folk songs from Dorset and further afield. Explore beautiful countryside, and hear songs relating to nature and rural ways from years before.
Meet at Watercombe Dogs, Farthing Gate Farm, Holnest, DT9 5PX for 2pm. Refreshments, not included, are provided upon our return.
Bring your own water bottle, stout walking boots, and headgear if hot. Walkers are responsible for their own surefootedness.
The walk will be about 4 miles and take about 3 hours, with frequent stops for songs. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, so long as they don’t ‘sing-along’!
£10 per adult in cash on arrival, u-18s free.
