What do you see when you enter a museum? But what don’t you see and whose voices might you hear?
‘Ways of Seeing’ will reflect stories behind two of the Museum’s objects suggested by Museum staff: the fragmented Roman fresco from the excavated Tarrant Hinton villa, depicting the myth of Narcissus and Echo, and the Victorian camera, used by Job Pottle (19th century) and Jimmy James (20th century) in their Eastbrook Photographic studio to capture images in Wimborne Town Centre.
‘Ways of Seeing’ is a joint production by Wimborne Community Theatre (WCT) and Millstream Theatre who perform original, site-specific theatre, bringing to life East Dorset stories often hidden or overlooked, in a way, that brings together past, present and future – rather like Museum of East Dorset does!
