u3a Wimborne Talk – Conserving the Seas

On Friday 20th March, u3a Wimborne takes to the water with a talk entitled Conserving the Seas – Studland Bay Marine Conservation Zone. Environmental manager and keen sailor Howard Davidson explores the introduction of the Marine Conservation Zone at Studland Bay – a move designed to protect precious habitats but not without controversy. As one of the boating representatives on the Studland Bay Marine Partnership, Howard will share the story of balancing conservation with leisure interests in one of Dorset’s most popular coastal spots.
