A dramatic monologue performed by Rachel Alexander – as Rosalind Fuller – recounts the sisters’ three tours of America between 1911 and 1917. The drama is interspersed with the folk songs she and her sisters sang on farms, in the high class salons of wealthy women and even the White House.
This piece, written by playwright Sue Ashby, is based on Rosalind Fuller’s memoir ‘Kissing the Joy’. Rachael Alexander is joined by Rachel Revell & Lina Felsa to perform some of the songs they sang on their tours.
The Fuller family lived in Bridge Street, Sturminster Newton before and during the First World War.
