Basket making workshop
Ever wanted to weave a basket? Then come and learn how to make this stylish asymmetric basket with Yeomen basketmaker Ellie Morgan.
During this one-day workshop Ellie will take you through the process of weaving a traditional ‘stake and strand’ style basket – with a twist, and a wooden handle. You’ll use a variety of willow and use age old basketry techniques to create your very own unique basket.
All materials and tools supplied. Tea, coffee and lunch is also included. Please arrive from 9.30am to start promptly at 10.00am.
Please note: if you have any loss of strength or mobility in your hands, this might not be the workshop for you.
