This position, in our highly regarded Private Client department, involves working as part of our Yeovil team, assisting with the provision of specialist services to a range of private individuals, trustees, executors and charities within Tax, Trusts, Wills and Probate. Encompassing all aspects of Private Client work, you will deal with a range of areas including inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, Probate and Intestacy, Wills and Living Wills, and Powers of Attorney. Ideally you will have a minimum of 1-2 years Private Client experience.

You will support the senior fee earners in the team as well as being responsible for your own caseload, under supervision. This includes being responsible for your own administration and typing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with a varied caseload of Private Client matters run by senior fee earners

We are currently recruiting a Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy and successful Residential Property Team initially based in our Castle Cary office providing maternity cover for 9-12 months moving to our Yeovil office at the end of the maternity cover. Whilst this is ideally a permanent role we are happy to accept applications from candidates who only wish to be considered for maternity cover only. The role will involve providing all round support to the conveyancers in all sale and purchase transactions. This will include some audio typing and administrative support as well as assisting with any other tasks that may be reasonably required. The aim is for you to help proactively drive forward conveyancing matters from instructions to exchange and completion by liaising with other parties in the chain and with conveyancers and agents.

The ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively and ensure that the client’s best interests are served at all times are vital qualities. Previous experience within a legal or property related environment is essential. Excellent typing (including audio transcription) and IT skills are essential.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Theatre Technician to join our vibrant theatre and creative media departments.

You will have proven experience in production and stage management and setting up live events as well as lighting and design. A drama/theatre degree or similar vocational qualification is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, excellent hands-on design skills and an ability to work quickly, calmly and politely while under pressure.

The annual salary for the role is £11,774, this is based on working for 33 weeks during term time plus an additional two weeks worked in the school holiday and 20 hours per week although some flexibility will be required.
