Discover How to Make a Difference at Sturminster Newton Volunteering Fair
Residents across the Sturminster Newton area are being invited to take their first step into volunteering at the upcoming Sturminster Newton Volunteering Fair.
Taking place at The Exchange, Sturminster Newton, on Saturday 25 April from 11am to 1pm, this free community event will bring together a wide range of local organisations, all eager to showcase how people can get involved and support their work.
The fair offers a welcoming and informal setting where visitors can meet representatives from local groups, learn more about the vital services they provide, and explore the many rewarding ways to volunteer. Whether you can spare a few hours each month or are looking for a more regular commitment, there are opportunities to suit all interests, skills and availability.
As well as speaking directly with organisations, attendees will be able to pick up a copy of the newly updated Volunteer Brochure, packed with information about local groups and guidance on how to get involved.
Organisers hope the event will encourage more people to connect with their community, meet like-minded individuals, and experience the personal benefits of volunteering alongside the positive impact it brings to others.
A wide variety of organisations will be attending, including Vale Family Hub, Age Concern North Dorset, The Blackmore Vale Partnership, Dorset Blind Association, Weldmar Hospicecare, RiversideFest, SturFit, Community Connections, Sturminster Newton Community Learning Centre, Sturminster Guides & Brownies, Bere Marsh Farm, Stur the Cauldron, Christians Together, SturAction, and Dorset Lavender Farm.
Everyone is welcome to drop in, have a chat, and discover how small contributions can make a big difference.
