This year marks the seventieth anniversary of the founding of the Bruton Art Society, established in 1953 by Mrs Joy Barnes who trained at Chelsea School of Art, where Henry Moore was her tutor for sculpture and Graham Sutherland for illustration.
Since then the Society has held an Annual Exhibition in the town of Bruton which has achieved a reputation for excellence, showcasing some of the best amateur and professional artists in the South West.
This year is no exception. The Exhibition will be held in the beautiful Memorial Hall, King’s School Bruton, from the 19th to the 26th August, from 10am – 4pm daily. Entry is free and there is parking onsite.
