“Ferne has provided refuge to unwanted and abandoned animals for over 80 years and is home to over 300 domestic and farm animals. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals which through no fault of their own, find themselves in need of some care, attention, and a safe helping hand. We are passionate about animal welfare and want to encourage others to help us make a difference, whether that’s through becoming a regular supporter or volunteering time to help us continue our vital work.

The sanctuary is open to the public, and we offer a range of educational activities for children and adults, including guided tours and educational workshops. We also have an onsite café and gift shop where visitors’ contributions directly support the wellbeing and care of our animals.”
