The evening will include a short film, “Richard Batterham: Independent Potter”, directed by Richard’s friend and fellow Durweston resident George Young. George will share his personal reminiscences, along with Imogen Batterham, Richard’s daughter, and Sarah Griffin, co-editor of the new book “Richard Batterham: Studio Potter”.

He first began making pots at as a student at Bryanston School at the age of 13, and worked in his Durweston pottery for over 60 years – see a brief outline of Richard Batterham’s life here
