Last year despite a 30% reduction in the number of stalls for Covid-safety\, the Fair managed to raise over £50\,000. \nLord Pembroke\, President of the Stars Appeal said “The Rockbourne Fair is a brilliant opportunity to support the Stars Appeal – Salisbury Hospital’s Charity\, whilst getting a head start on your Christmas shopping! We are so grateful to the voluntary organising committee for their hard work and dedication to this wonderful annual fair. SUMMARY:An Autumn Elegy
DESCRIPTION:University Music’s Orchestra and Choirs present An Autumn Elegy at 7.30pm on Saturday 29th October in Christchurch Priory. The programme includes Rutter’s Requiem\, Chilcott’s Canticles of Light and\, in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth\, Vaughan Williams ever popular The Lark Ascending. Our violinist soloist will be Nivedita Sarnath who\, having studied at the Royal Academy of Music\, The Boston Conservatory and Harvard University\, is now a member of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. Our soprano soloist will be Verity Joy who is a current undergraduate student at Arts University Bournemouth. Please join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening of music in the wonderful surroundings of the Priory.
