SUMMARY:Quinfest Charity Festival
DESCRIPTION:The charity event will take place at Milborne St Andrews Sports Pavilion. \nQuinfest is a family music festival in memory of Amy Quin to be held on 8/9th July 2022 ( Saturday as the main day ) to raise much needed funds for the Poole Hospital Charity and Marie Curie.\nQuinfest was formed in 2019 as a fund raiser for Brain Tumour Support who had given help to Amy\, Amy\, after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2016. Very sadly she lost her battle in 2020. The festival now carries on in memory of Amy and to raise money for cancer charities. \nThe fun will start at 11.30am. There will music through the day from bands and solo artists\, with dancing. It will be an ideally safe place for children who will have plenty to do and see and acres to run and play in. And for their Mums and Dads there will be traders and food and drink stalls. Camping will also be available for those who wish to make a weekend away from Friday night to Sunday morning. Children under 12 Go Free ! \ninfo@quinfest.co.uk\nwww.quinfest.co.uk

SUMMARY:The Rascally Diner by LAStheatre
DESCRIPTION:Everybody clap your pans – it’s time for The Rascally Diner! Cook up a stink as part of Rufus Skumskins O’Parsleys’ kitchen crew or bring a pot to bang and ward off evil cakes in this fun-filled\, messy performance about food which heads to Dorset through Artsreach this summer! \nChef Rufus Skumskins O’Parsley is famous for creating some of the world’s most disgusting dishes. You might know him from the award-winning children’s book The Rascally Cake\, written by Jeanne Willis and Korky Paul. Rufus went viral after baking a huge\, human-eating cake from ingredients including snot\, blubber and a cowpat. He only escaped being gobbled up by the gruesome gateau because he tasted awful – a result of his foul diet. For ten years now\, Rufus has been on a mission to make everyone taste bad and protect them from the creature he cooked up. \nJoin LAStheatre for a show that gently explores food provenance\, sustainability\, and healthy eating in a silly\, song-filled\, riotous performance for humans aged 5+. \nRunning time: 60mins no interval \n* Please note that this is an outdoor event – dress for all weather and bring your own chair/blanket to sit on.
