Would you like a bit of a lift after the last two difficult years – a musical treat\, some exciting rhythm and melody played with great motivation and skill? \nCome and hear the expert 12 piece PHOENIX CAFÉ ORCHESTRA playing mainly 20s and 30s music on Sunday 10th April 2022 in Motcombe Village Hall\, from 3.15–4.30pm. Doors open 2.45pm. Tickets are £10.00 each and the price includes refreshments. The hall will be set up ‘café style’ so do order tickets for your friends and make up a table of 4\, 5 or 6. SUMMARY:Cattistock in Concert
DESCRIPTION:The inaugural “Cattistock in Concert” will take place in our beautiful Parish Church on Saturday 23 April 2022. This is a very exciting new project to bring back classical music to the village and it is planned to hold many more interesting events in the future. The first one promises to be outstanding and will be performed by The Cassandra String Quartet\, all local professional players. \nTheir programme will consist of some well-loved classical pieces:\nHaydn Quartet Op 76 No 1 in G Major\nBritten: The Simple Symphony\nMozart Quartet in E flat major K428\nas well as a light-hearted piece\, with a possible reference to St George’s Day.
