A regular monthly column that highlights the plight of Dorsets rescue animals.
Each month we share a selection of rescue cats and dogs (and other animals) that desperately need a forever home.
Rescue centres that we regularly work with include Margaret Green Animal Shelter, Dogs Trust, RSPCA and the Cats Protection League.
We also often feature smaller animal charities such as the Staffie and Stray Rescue and Stour Valley Dog Rescue.
All of these charites have rescue centres in Dorset, and re-home usually within an hours drive from each centre. The animals we feature may well have found a forever home by the time you read about them. Please do still click through to their websites and explore the other animals that are looking for homes.
This section contains everything you need to know. From how you can adopt a rescue animal, to what to do if you find an abandoned animal in Dorset.
We often feature animal charities that need help, from volunteering to fund rasing.
We do often have paid for positions available as well, these can be found in our jobs pages.
Our column also features advice from a local Dorset vet, a very useful tool for a lovers of animals both great and small.
We often share news features based around animals in this section.
