Conveyancing Assistant | Battens Solicitors

We are currently recruiting a Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy and successful Residential Property Team initially based in our Castle Cary office providing maternity cover for 9-12 months moving to our Yeovil office at the end of the maternity cover. Whilst this is ideally a permanent role we are happy to accept applications from candidates who only wish to be considered for maternity cover only. Please specify on you application whether you are looking for a temporary or permanent role.

The role will involve providing all round support to the conveyancers in all sale and purchase transactions. This will include some audio typing and administrative support as well as assisting with any other tasks that may be reasonably required. The aim is for you to help proactively drive forward conveyancing matters from instructions to exchange and completion by liaising with other parties in the chain and with conveyancers and agents.

The ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively and ensure that the client’s best interests are served at all times are vital qualities. Previous experience within a legal or property related environment is essential. Excellent typing (including audio transcription) and IT skills are essential.
